Cancel culture is not a thing, this has been proven time and time again when horrible men get away with everything. At the most they will be quiet for a while and wait for everyone to forget so they can make their comeback.

Hollywood doesn’t give a shit as long as it makes money, if they think Lethal Weapon will bring in the nostalgia money then they will work with every racist ass out there. We have to stop expecting anyone with too much money to have morals or empathy anyway.

We have to stop expecting anyone with too much money to have morals or empathy anyway.

Poor people have known and been saying this since the dawn of time. Statistically they've always given the least, of both their time and their money. And they always give to some fucking charity, which one of my crim profs said like 40% of which are fronts, and I'm poor AF and never see a cent from any charity. They're just a way for rich people to make money and be on boards lol, so they can feel important.

But we have to pretend to expect more from them as long as they're in power because appealing to the myth of their morality is the only way they might actually do small good things.

Fronts, you say? That's INTERESTING!!

How can you tell if they're fronts or not? If you tell me records, I'll tell you I'm in Texas, so... 😭

It’s a bit long but worth the watch. Basically millionaires donate millions as a way to reduce their income and get a massive tax write off. Then that money just sits there and doesn’t actually get used. It’s basically another tax haven.

This 100% and so many shell companies. I don’t think the IRS knows or cares how many companies are shell ones. I had a friend whose father wrote her checks and she was his “secretary” at age 13 and now I see that and I’m like…..ohhhh right! He just didn’t wanna pay.

I do think the IRS cares, it’s just they don’t have the manpower to go after them. Like these people are RICH RICH and the IRS is underfunded. Can you imagine the legalities involved in every single process? Plus I’m sure it’s a Russian nesting doll of shell corporations to be honest.

Follow the money basically but with a cynical/realistic eye - like the user says re:tax write-offs!

Poor and middle class people are the ones that actually give to charities and hold them afloat. Rich and wealthy do not give their money away.
