Lily-Rose Depp is cornering the cheap horror market, huh?

Encounter could be good; Single All the Way will be guilty pleasure viewing.

Flee sounds really interesting

LRD is getting ATJ's leftovers it seems. At least she knows her lane.

I gotta go see Benedetta, it looks fucking ridiculous (in a good way). I'd also like to catch The Hand of God in theaters if possible. But I'd be happy watching Single All the Way, Silent Night and Flee from my couch when I get a chance.

We saw C'mon C'mon on Tuesday, and I stg, Mike Mills knows exactly what buttons to press to make me weep even when nothing is particularly sad. The main kid was great, as were all the interviewees, and Joaquin and Gaby were excellent. I was excited to see Jaboukie pop up, too.

My husband said he thought it was a good movie, but not one he liked, and I get it - it's pretty introspective and emotional, and he's never been into movies like that. I think it's too slight & quiet to get much awards attention, but I'm glad I saw it!!

Going to see an early screening and Q&A for Red Rocket tonight. From the trailer, I don't think I'm gonna like it, but stranger things have happened.

The AP review , I believe, said Benedetta was giving Showgirls vibes…but also had some gruesome torture scenes

I was all about the lesbian nun movie until I saw the writers and director. Men stop writing and directing lesbian movies challenge.

I watched Power of the Dog last night and daaaamn. That's all I can say. Just daaaamn.

I heard there were some tough animal scenes. Were they really bad??

I'm pretty squeamish and wasn't bothered, but I think you have enough time to look away before anything happens if you want.

On an emotional level, they're a bit sad and one of them did shock me. On a grossness level, they're not bad imo but I watch a lot of horror. I wouldn't call any of it gratuitous, I don't remember any lingering camera shots and there's not excessive blood or gore or anything. Here's everything I remember: [Spoiler (click to open)]there's a rabbit that Kirsten Dunst plays with and pets at one point that her son caught, then in the next scene he has the rabbit cut open on his desk and is drawing the insides for an irl study of anatomy, he's studying to be a surgeon (this one shocked me tbh). Another scene, he and Cumberbatch are out in a field and there's another rabbit whose leg is broken. Cumberbatch tells the son to put the rabbit out of his misery, and you hear his neck snap. Finally, there's a scene where a calf has died, you see that an animal has been at the calf already so there's a bit of blood and general insides showing but not much, and you see the son cutting the hide off of it. (spoiler is detailed so you know exactly what to expect, but I ( ... )

Try Harder sounds right up my alley. I think my husband will want to see it too. A colleague’s daughter got into Harvard, MIT, and Stanford last year and that kind of success just blows my mind because it’s so hard to get into good schools now (she chose MIT).

The trailer for Flee always makes me emotional when I see it in movie previews

I have a lot of questions about Wolf but I'm not sure if I want answers

My fake dating trope loving ass will be watching Single All The Way
