Definitely not enchanted to meet these perverts. Recently, former Owl City member Daniel Jorgensen was charged with a felony and plead guilty for lewdness with a child. Everything from here on is going to go under a cut because this is a sensitive topic.

I remember reading about a case where a man lured two young (pre-teen, iirc) girls into an abandoned building and sexually assaulted them, and he barely got a slap on the wrist because he didn't lock them in or tie them up so ~the girls could have simply removed themselves from the situation~. I'd say the German legal system is a joke when it comes to sex crime, but there is nothing funny about it.

There was also this little kid that got sexually abused and the guy got off with a fine „because the child was so young, it won’t remember it“ and they didn’t want to ruin HIS future as it was his first charge

i think all you can do is try to talk to them honestly and openly. starting early is key, i think.

i'm going to start with the concept that adults and children can't be friends. they can be friendly and have important and influential relationships but friendships by their very nature need to have some sort of equality. so they know when an adult presses beyond that, even if it's their favourite celebrity, it's a manipulation and not real.

AGREED. He literally is a danger to the public. This man has no morality and he needs to be given a severe punishment to show him that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated in society. Now that he got away with probation, he’s only emboldened, and so are all the other paedophiles. Jesus. What a mess.

I couldn't believe that. he has priors for the same thing. This punishment did nothing before. Eleven girls banded together and told their stories about this creep and he gets nothing basically.

I'm no expert but from what I gather, that's how it started and then when they got their single hit and started touring, he needed more members to play and hired a local pedo.

Yes Owl City is that, one person who makes all the music, but when he tours he'll have a band play with him. I wouldn't even call them official members.
