I remember reading about a case where a man lured two young (pre-teen, iirc) girls into an abandoned building and sexually assaulted them, and he barely got a slap on the wrist because he didn't lock them in or tie them up so ~the girls could have simply removed themselves from the situation~. I'd say the German legal system is a joke when it comes to sex crime, but there is nothing funny about it.

There was also this little kid that got sexually abused and the guy got off with a fine „because the child was so young, it won’t remember it“ and they didn’t want to ruin HIS future as it was his first charge

that is a super common line of reasoning by judges here. It's like they never cracked open a book on psychology or like they're all pedos.

for a longest time Germany only considered "violent rape" to be actual rape. If there were no signs of physical struggle, it was considered consensual sex. So basically any woman/child/man who gets raped needs to sport a physical injury for it to be considered real. Or in other words, the victims need to risk being murdered to be believed. (This gets extra cynical when you consider that children almost always comply when an adult pressures them).

Read a brief article about a father who molested his four year old daughter, filmed it, and distributed it. I think he got a four months sentence. Despite having a prior conviction for the possession of CP.
