They know what they want to accomplish with these songs, and, honestly, I'm so glad because it's so.... not pretentious and doesn't make itself more than it is (and I don't mean that it's less than in any shape or form).

Eta I see you're looking for cute, you could try riedell orbit or Moxi Beach Bunny / Panther. There's also Jackson Vista or Sure Grip Boardwalk for fun colors.
But yeah sorry unfortunately skates are just expensive if you want something that is safe.
none of these come in my size :( i wear a women's 11! (the last ones you mentioned seem to be unisex sizing and are theoretically available in my size, but sold out the first couple places i looked + i'm not wild about the appearance)
i found a couple in stock in my size that were cute the other day but they were literally $300+ and i can't make that big of an investment in something i haven't done since i was like...nine years old. and i also don't want to buy something fugly because i know i'll be unmotivated to use them haha. thank you for trying though!! ♥
Skate sizing is weird, they're all in men's sizes so if you wear a women's 11 (US) then a men's 10 theoretically should fit you, but of course check the measurements. I wear a 9 womens and all my skates are an 8, but some people go down two sizes. I have long toes and cannot do that. For the ones that are already cute, Riedell Orbits go to a men's 11, Beach Bunnies and Panthers go to a men's 10. Sure Grip Fame and Riedell 120 both go to a men's 14, and you can always get white and paint them with Angelus leather paint. But black is always a classic and you can buy fun wheels and laces to add pizzazz if you're worried about them being fugly. Always check the size charts!
and don't buy impalas, they are toy skates that fall apart and can hurt you.
