I had a friend who was such a harry potter fan that when JKR revealed her transphobic self, she donated the equivalent cost of all the books and movie tickets (estimated) to a local trans youth charity.

We still have these huge displays at our bookstore with merch and while it does look cool ..... I can never bring myself to give her the money. I just leave it there, and from the looks of it, so does everyone else.

they're definitely not but she's also using them as a shield to brush off the many MANY people who have approached her respectfully and attempted to engage with her in good faith about why her views are so harmful. she's now playing the "all trans activists are dangerous and violent" card and its not okay.

That’s what gets me. Is she claiming that everyone sending her threats are people who are against her transphobic views or just people who have no horse in this race and want to be destructive and get attention?
