The justice system was designed to protect perpetrators of SA and rape. Anyone who says otherwise is ignorant or outright lying.

My heart is breaking for all the victims. This is so disgusting.

It literally was. In certain states the legal standards for rape were ridiculous (underage, race based, a virgin, etc).

Sadly where we are now is considered "progress."

My heart goes out to all survivors today, seeing this must feel like they're being revictimized all over again. I left my former job after realizing (a little too late) that while there is a legal system, there's no true justice system.
