i just had a dream about t-pain like last week and then thought about the article the sadness of t-pain, looks like it needs to be updated with the usher story

Auto-tune is only bad when it covers up bad singing. T-Pain is good singer (he won the Masked Singer), and was using auto-tune to be creative. Usher was mad at the wrong person.

completely agree - it's wild to blame t-pain for other artists making bad music when he pretty consistently releases great music himself. you can absolutely tell, 100%, when someone is using autotune in an attempt to mask their shitty voice (like you can listen any lil wayne track where he attempts to sing from the Autotune Era and he sounds like fucking dogshit). t-pain has an incredible voice with or without autotune and idg why people do not respect him as an artist/creator/innovator
