Usher was his friend. He really respects Usher. He thought Usher was joking at first and Usher said to him,
"I'm gonna tell you something, man. You kinda fucked up music for real singers."
Because T-Pain came and used Auto-Tune, and others started using it as well.
"that's the very moment that started a four-year depression for me."
