it's not okay to put that all on him. auto-tune, in the way t-pain used it, wasn't new but it was very different than what was on the radio at the time and that's why it became popular. it's not t-pain's fault that lazy ass producers and music execs decided that every hip-hop and r&b act had to do that exact same sound, as well.

he sure did. he was struggling to stay on top after being the darling of the late 90s/early 00s and didn't adapt well but i bopped to o.m.g. not even gonna lie

okay there was definitely a period of time where EVERYONE was using auto-tune and wore it the fuck out, but it's hilarious that usher said that like he wasnt one of the ones who tried to hop on the edm wave to maintain relevance
