I got exhausted with DeuxMoi when they kept teasing and posting things about something explosive coming out about Armie Hammer and then...nothing happened. They helped fanned the flames of conspiracy theories and reposted shit despite not knowing if it was true or not.

As someone that worked in media, a big exposing in a serious journalism media outlet could have been on the works for months, but end up blocked for legal reasons/advice. Sometimes when a journalist gets a big story on his hands, a round of “superiors” have to approve his evidences/sources and stuff just get stuck. The journalist may try to mend their editors/checkers concerns a few times, but end up dropping the story.

Yup! I recommend reading Ronan Farrows “Catch and Kill” this is exactly what he experienced (and actually much worse because his bosses were corrupt as fuck) as he wrote the Weinstein expose.

I feel like the idea is interesting - I'm just gonna post tips from assistants and where celebs are shopping and stuff but clearly the account is completely unmanageable and you can't run it if you're biased.

So another thing Duexmoi is problematic it creates a stalker culture or could potentially put some celebs life at risk whith the whole I saw so so at this place in this state/country. So people that have a desire to get that attention would start following celebs and the celebs stalker will know where celebs are at any moment. I unfollowed when she was posting pictures of an actor eating lunch while on vacation in like Montana or something. I don't think she generally waits for time to pass either, so the person could still be in the area when she posts.

Like, I know I'm on a gossip website and thus am hypocritical, but I don't think we need to encouraging surveiling people like that.

I unfollowed her a while back because it was filled with the most inane shit, like boring ass celeb sightings, weird unsubtle TV plugs/PR plants -- and yeah Jack Quaid mentions. I still read r/DeuxMoi for the highlights and for the lowdown on any drama happening with the account and yeah, even there it feels like most people are done with her.

Anything interesting gets posted on the subreddit and you don't have to deal with shit like "Spotted! Miley outside the studio where SNL is filmed!! I wonder what she's doing there? 🤔🤔🤔"
