Jodelle Ferland was my choice. She was unsettling as a child and I'm sure she's equally unsettling as an adult, which would've made for some brilliant Katniss action.
tbh, one of the things that irritated me about the movie was how they seemed to want to avoid making Katniss unsettling at all - like they changed/left out certain things from the book to soften her & make her more "likeable".
I watched the first movie with my nephew recently and he laughed at how useless Peeta was in it.
Ive always hated this mindset. I mean, your nephew is probably a child so he gets a pass, though a convo is to be had with him before he continues down that toxic path- its like the first fucking time the male character is the 'damsel in distress' and for a decade it's been mocked about how weak he is as a character. God forbid the girl be strong for once.
It's also the movie's fault for not damaging him as much as he was in the books because there was a reason he's not at top performance.
