I watched the first movie with my nephew recently and he laughed at how useless Peeta was in it.
Ive always hated this mindset. I mean, your nephew is probably a child so he gets a pass, though a convo is to be had with him before he continues down that toxic path- its like the first fucking time the male character is the 'damsel in distress' and for a decade it's been mocked about how weak he is as a character. God forbid the girl be strong for once.
It's also the movie's fault for not damaging him as much as he was in the books because there was a reason he's not at top performance.
