I know it's my own fault for going on reddit but last night THIS was the top comment about the subject

As a WoC myself, I really disliked this episode. I hate the trivialization of real issues through the obsession with proxy issues like this ( ... )

nothing pleases amerikkkans like a minority telling them they don't need to change their patterns of thought/behavior

The television subreddit had me raging with the comments! I guess they all missed the part about responding to it with "not all white people"

I’m sorry but microtorso? Is that a thing people actually say? Like I say I have a long torso but I don’t make it sound like a disorder or something.

They’ve had this black writer for a minute, but I’m loving that you can tell John has no idea what he is talking about on certain things 😂

Thanks for the post OP, gunna watch this tomorrow!

As a white lady I have close to zero knowledge about Black hair, but I'm slowly learning from As Told by Kenya. She's posted a few videos about hairtube (idk if that's what it's really called buy y'all get it) and how it can be anti-Black and still discriminates against very tightly curled hair.

And there was a story a while ago in NJ where a ref forced a high schools Black wrestler to shave off his dreads. It's absolutely insane to me. All hair is beautiful and textured hair defies the laws of gravity and as another commenter said can have so many styles and forms. I hope I'm making sense lol.

I didn’t know you could get paid for things like that. I always figured if you’re on tv the footage belongs to the tv channel not you.

I don't think you can, maybe for the initial interview but after that it's most likely fair to use.

I just tried to look it up and it's very, uh, not cut and dry. They met at the RNC in 2008 but all I can find out is that she was there "as a vet" and a few articles said she was a republican but some also suggested she wasn't and was there as an auxiliary (security?) but tbh all the dancing around and her not quashing the rumors dooooesn't look great.
