Right now it has to be somewhat difficult to sell him as a director to a female star. Or the Oscar nomations Mel Gibson got for Hacksaw Ridge?

Joss Whedon's larger problem is that he is just not a great director or writer yet too idiosyncratic to be a competent/invisible jack-of-all-trades studio director.

I would argue his larger issue is that he is a racist misogynist, but yeah

The fact that he fucked up Justice League might actually be a bigger career blow to him than any of his racism and misogyny, which is always fun. Studios care about $$$$. If you can bring it in, you're protected. If you can't, well, no need to take the heat for a bad bargain.

Apparently they both refused to do it but J*ss went after the double and in a meeting alone with her, he threatened to make sure she'd never work again if she didn't agree to do it.
