Is evermore better than folklore?

To me, no. Evermore sounds like songs that weren't good enough to make Folklore.

No, I think there are 3 or 4 songs that stand out but the rest blur into one. I don’t think the music or lyrics are strong as Folklore.

Folklore seems more young and hopeful whereas Evermore seems more old and defeated.

i definitely like folklore better but i love folklore 10x more now than i did the first time i listened to it so i’m sure this album is gonna be a grower as well

Taylor heard Lana's NFR and wanted to copy that lol

the 2 albums are boring tho, at least lana was able to create a cinematic experience with NFR Taylor is just cosplaying an indie singer.

literally elevator music. But the basics will eat it up.

NFR was such a good, cohesive record. I think it's her most critically acclaimed album too

Yes I love it. And I have hated every Lana album after Ultraviolence. But NFR is perfection.

I listened to Evermore today. I'll admit I like Folklore a lot more now than I did on my first few listens, a lot of the songs grew on me (but I still don't think it's her best, like a lot of people seem to), so maybe Evermore has room to grow on me as well. But as of right now, Evermore is not very good to my ears. There's only one song that I'm like "oh, I'd listen to that again," and a couple of them are downright bad.
