i work with senior housing, and this week i have 3 residents come into my office to tell me they tested positive. i get it, youre lonely and selfish and have no one else to tell, but get the fuck out my face.
We have chains on all our office entrances so that we can keep people out if we want to keep our door open lol. (I work for a transportation company so we have drivers in and out of the office all the time)
three people I know had seriously different outcomes from contracting covid, first person needed almost a full month and the strongest antibiotics to get slightly better second person only lost the sense of taste and smell and had no other symptoms and the third person unfortunately passed away and it happened only 4 days after their condition took a turn for the worse. I am furious at people for behaving so carelessly and doubting the existence of this virus, how much more proof do you need?
One of my friends strongly believes he had COVID (couldn't get a test), but as soon as his quarantine time was over, he went back socializing at restaurants outdoors with multiple people. He wears a mask when he goes out, but masks aren't 100% protection especially when you're doing something like eating.
I don't love the idea of strict government cracking down on people, but I'm also thinking- it may be necessary in the US because people who aren't like conspiracy theory, Trump supporters are out there being reckless with COVID.
honestly masks become completely useless if you go out to eat and ppl need to realize that lol there was a woman on Korean news who talked about going out to eat with her coworkers, they all wore masks but lowered them to eat.... every single person sitting at that table caught COVID. Just order takeout, people kfjghdfkj.
What gets me is that a lot of people want to point their fingers at Karens or Republicans being reckless with COVID. They are, they absolutely. But we also need to acknowledge and talk about how so many others who are liberal are being reckless too. I don't know if they're as bad or worse than others, but they're also contributing to the problem.
You may just run hot sometimes because if you had a low grade fever it wouldn’t go back down to 98.6. When I was sick with what I believe was covid, I ran 99.6-100.8 throughout the entire course but it never dipped below 99
But keep taking your temp consistently! It’s pretty useful to get a baseline of what your normal body temp is
I was talking about this in a post the other day and some user came in to tell me how people on set get tested 3 times a week so it's actually safe. Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you test negative super early in the process, and then test positive a few days later? So, in theory, even with testing 3 days a week, it could still have a week to spread through a set before the first positive test shows up, right?
Her little stomping thing with her son is so sweet!
The city I live in just went into lockdown again but I'm feeling a little hopeless and unsure if we're capable of getting it under control thanks to the premier's inept (to be put it nicely) leadership.
