I feel like everyone I know right now knows someone who has tested positive or been exposed. I have a secondary exposure but my quarantine period is up on Tuesday and so far *fingers crossed* I'm okay.

My parents were pushing for a reduced Thanksgiving but still more people than I was comfortable with and three households. I have them going it solo now. I hope other people are avoiding large Thanksgiving get togethers or we're going to be in for a really really shitty December (I think we are regardless).

I had one person tell me that they were planning on doing a normal get together, and they have multiple people in their families who work in dental or medical offices. Like what in the actual fuck?!

I just don't get it. I know there's fatigue over the lockdowns but WHY would you risk putting your family at risk now when hospitals are becoming overwhelmed. It's just selfish.

One of the families that was supposed to come to our Thanksgiving had someone flying in, so they were axed, all of my cousins are still in their 20s and multiple coming from college campuses and that was just a no brainer, you're out. I'll be alone. I'm fine with it.

I work in a hospital, and I know another nurse that is planning to drive to another state on a trip, fly back and come to work the next day. Due to the unit we work on, most of the patients are 65+.

my workplace has had 8!!!! covid cases within the last month and yet “because everyone is supposed to be socially distant and wearing masks we are not at risk” (which isn’t true, people break those rules all the time) and “we can’t confirm they got it from work anyway”.....

i’m so angry people should not be travelling for fun right now but no one gives a fuck anymore so me and my coworkers will maybe just have to fucking die XD

It’s really strange here too. Back when we still worked in the office (like March. Time flies ... 😳) my colleague sitting right next to me was asked to go home cuz he was in contact with someone who was waiting for their test result and I am like uh ... I am sitting right next him? Like ... Shouldn’t I be going home too?!

My sister is a teacher and the other day she was writing a test and the principal comes in and is like students A B and C have to go home and quarantine immediately!! I am like ..ö what about the others in that very room?

People's behaviors around COVID have been getting me. I'm trying to figure out how to move locations safely (because my current situation isn't good, to put it mildly), and other people are being so unnecessarily reckless.

Hope she stays safe. My aunt and cousins have been acting like nothing is going on. They are planning a couple of parties in the next month or so, and ignoring the state’s COVID restrictions. So far, none of them have gotten sick, but we’ll see how they do with winter.
