three people I know had seriously different outcomes from contracting covid, first person needed almost a full month and the strongest antibiotics to get slightly better second person only lost the sense of taste and smell and had no other symptoms and the third person unfortunately passed away and it happened only 4 days after their condition took a turn for the worse. I am furious at people for behaving so carelessly and doubting the existence of this virus, how much more proof do you need?
One of my friends strongly believes he had COVID (couldn't get a test), but as soon as his quarantine time was over, he went back socializing at restaurants outdoors with multiple people. He wears a mask when he goes out, but masks aren't 100% protection especially when you're doing something like eating.
I don't love the idea of strict government cracking down on people, but I'm also thinking- it may be necessary in the US because people who aren't like conspiracy theory, Trump supporters are out there being reckless with COVID.
honestly masks become completely useless if you go out to eat and ppl need to realize that lol there was a woman on Korean news who talked about going out to eat with her coworkers, they all wore masks but lowered them to eat.... every single person sitting at that table caught COVID. Just order takeout, people kfjghdfkj.
What gets me is that a lot of people want to point their fingers at Karens or Republicans being reckless with COVID. They are, they absolutely. But we also need to acknowledge and talk about how so many others who are liberal are being reckless too. I don't know if they're as bad or worse than others, but they're also contributing to the problem.
I agree. I feel nothing try to figure out who is the most at fault. From my experience with working with the general public, literally everyone is at fucking fault. So many people from different backgrounds don’t give a shit about this or they think whoever dies is disposable with their reckless behavior.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to work from home, can afford to get monthly groceries delivered, and only go out when necessary which has been a handful of trips to the grocery store, vet visits for the cat, and medical/dental for me. Some of the reckless people hav chided me for being privileged enough to work from home, as though the fact not everyone can work from home is a reason to be out in the world unnecessarily.
Thanks for asking, I appreciate it. I’m surviving but very, very exhausted. I’m in talks to possibly to do a short paid leave of absence, hopefully it can happen so I can avoid the aftermath coming after both holidays
I have appreciation for the people who actually follow the guidelines, I really do. Since I meet so many who don’t, it’s nice to see there’s a good portion still trying during these hard times.
People try to convince themselves that because it's allowed, its ok. Eating indoors, going to the movies, etc are all high risk, doesn't matter that it's "socially distanced"

Staying at home and not having guests, etc. is the least I and anyone can do.
