I mentioned this in the roundup but I watched The Green Inferno and it was boring af and really poorly constructed. Washed the taste out of my mouth with The Sacrament (coincidentally produced by Eli Roth) which is a MUCH better movie and genuinely harrowing/upsetting. Tbh it’s basically [Spoiler (click to open)]A not even that thinly fictionalized retelling of Jonestown but still a much better watch overall.

Going to watch The Devil All the Time tonight but I’m greatly lowering my expectations (which were already kind of low tbh)

The Sacrament is West’s best work.

The Sacrament was really good! I’m happy I didn’t watch Green Inferno despite it being recommended via Netflix to me all the time.

I’m halfway through The Devil All the Time and it’s ok. Not sure where it’s going.

Okay, Stage Mother could be heartfelt and cute etc.

I watched it recently, it was sweet and uplifting but I cried a tiny bit too (not uncommon for me though). Would recommend giving it a go.

I was curious about Lost Girls and Love Hotels, so I found the book on Goodreads and it has 3.38 rating, so I think I'll pass.

I finally watched Last Christmas. It was cute and I didn't expect Croatian characters, I would have watched it earlier if I knew about that.

I had to check that The Nest wasn't connected to the tv show that aired this year.
