AMVs have been always been a huge part of the anime fandom, even before YouTube existed. Great post OP! I was just thinking about these and when people would do "Until the Day I Die", "Everytime we Touch", "Bring Me Back to Life" AMVs.

ONTD, do you still watch AMVS or fanvideos? I think the last ones I've seen when a friend showed me is when people would put Disney Princesses x GOT characters.

rahxephon was such a beautiful anime, I remember being so enraptured by the quality and making so many fan arts, I submitted at least a dozen to Newtype USA, but none was ever published :(.

I loved it too and I still think about and occasionally reread the short story that the girl in the yellow dress was based off of (The Dandelion Girl).

The first time I've heard In the End was in a Shadow the Hedgehog AMV (well, it was a game, not an anime, so... GMV? is this a thing?)

I have seen a lot of video games classified as AMVs. Like Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts.
