While some expressed their love for the characters and stories of their favourite anime through drawings, fanfiction, and craft-making, others turned to Windows Movie Maker or iMovie when they heard the perfect song that evoked the emotions of what they had

Great post OP! I was just thinking about these and when people would do "Until the Day I Die", "Everytime we Touch", "Bring Me Back to Life" AMVs.

ONTD, do you still watch AMVS or fanvideos? I think the last ones I've seen when a friend showed me is when people would put Disney Princesses x GOT characters.

rahxephon was such a beautiful anime, I remember being so enraptured by the quality and making so many fan arts, I submitted at least a dozen to Newtype USA, but none was ever published :(.

Newtype making bad decisions! It was such a beautiful anime but I think I was the only one in my friend group to watch it.

I loved it too and I still think about and occasionally reread the short story that the girl in the yellow dress was based off of (The Dandelion Girl).

It's so hard to sync up the right moments! I only made one AVM. It took forever but I was so proud.

The first time I've heard In the End was in a Shadow the Hedgehog AMV (well, it was a game, not an anime, so... GMV? is this a thing?)

I have seen a lot of video games classified as AMVs. Like Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts.
