The Supreme Court just issued a monumental ruling on LGBTQ rights. Good can still prevail in America. https://t.co/EfqO3yFm3F

This is great news. I'm just mentally preparing myself for abortion and DACA cases.

I think this ruling is groundbreaking and friggin awesome but also that it is meant to distract us from this ruling that also came today: https://www.politico.com/news/2020/06/15/supreme-court-allows-atlantic-coast-pipeline-to-cross-appalachian-trail-320466

does this also stops Trump for repealing Obama's law about the LGBTQ medicare?

Not automatically, the new HHS rule itself has to make its way through the courts. But this decision does make it more likely that the rule will be overturned.

I couldn't help but wonder if Trump heard how SCOTUS was likely to vote on this, and rescinded that HHS guideline as a kind of "Fuck you, we won't let them get everything!" response. I mean, bigots can still use the removal of the guideline to discriminate, just indirectly. "I mean, we can't fire you for being gay, but aww shucks, our insurance provider won't approve coverage for your care or let you see a doctor sympathetic to your needs, guess maybe you should just quit so you can get a new insurance plan!"

Taylor "shade never made anybody less gay"Swift's tweet can only pail against Gaga's iconic "I can't stop crying, we did it kids" tweet.
