It felt both rushed and too slow in some episodes. It could have been fine as a 90 minute Lifetime film.
Jacob did it, so no need to pour a ton of money into another season that will be largely ignored.

I honestly hated Andy's character in the book (he was so blind to his kid's faults, and idk whether it was intentional on the author's part, but I feel like he had barely anything positive to say about any of the female characters) but he came off as more sympathetic on the show.

are you me??? every time he talked about a female character I was like this man is a misogynist. like I HATED the way he described Sarah, like being way too descriptive of a 15 year old

I also hated the way he described Laurie's friends, and how he kept implying that Laurie was a bad or hysterical mother just because she wasn't blinded to Jacob's faults like he was
