well, you'll have to watch the episode to understand cause it's definitely a mystery for the season, but apparently she's a past doctor. not sure if before William Hartnell's, or a parallel universe kind of thing.
I honestly can't believe it. Does this mean we have to say goodbye to Whittaker soon? I was ready for another filler so I missed parts of the plot, but they got me with timey wimey and barrowman.
i don't think she'll be a regular. my money is that this is a parallel universe (and we've been in it since Spyfall) that's why the earth from Orphan 55 became a mess, and not the utopia from Season 3; that's why the master is still evil, he's not Missy, that's why Jack makes no references to Torchwood, and that's why the doctor has different past regenerations.
i want to be excited but finding out that shes a past incarnation that was forgotten about keeps me from being optimistic. :(
i really missed jack too but im bummed out we had to wait until THIRTEEN for him to come back. i desperately wanted to see him interact with eleven and twelve. im just bitter i guess lmao. this is still a huge deal. i need to finally catch up with thirteens run.
It was strange admittedly that he never showed up at all after series 4, even though Barrowman was clearly desperate to come back. I understand if Moffat didn’t necessarily have him in mind for a regular companion, but the Doctor bumping into him for a guest appearance or two wouldn’t have hurt surely, especially around the time of the 50th celebrations
