I hateeee when my dad waves down our waiter that is running around sweating and slaving. it’s one thing if they’re standing around doing nothing, but to be so self centered as to think a wave puts you in front of the line is so embarrassing

and yes waiters hate this. a simple eye contact and nod/smile will do fine calm down you’re not at the stock market

ugh i hate this. my dad is also going deaf and refuses to wear his hearing aid, so most of the time he can't hear the server and is basically yelltalking at them in an attempt to be jovial. i like going out to eat with my parents because free food, but everything else about it is really embarrassing. neither of them ever worked in a restaurant so they have no idea how any of it works. my dad will tip badly for things are not always the waitstaff's fault, and in many restaurants his stingy-ass tip wouldn't even be going to the people who fucked up in the first place ( ... )

Every time I am in the US I think Canada is waaaay more advanced. Like we have tapping everywhere even in the Arctic and the US does not have that in Minnesota.
