larry david's awkward humor is like my kryptonite. that shit makes me cringe so much. i love seinfeld but could never get into curb.

i only wave down waiters in europe because otherwise they'll ignore you for hours.

Says if he can't hail a cab in New York, strangers will stop for him and give him a ride and he takes it lol.

this is amazing lol.

and yes tap to pay is the truth people. it's available most places i go now, which is great.

I feel like Larry makes Colbert a little nervous lol

"Pee before you go" and "Make two trips" are Universal Truths

I used to work at a restaurant in London, and I'd always get American tourists coming in who had never seen contactless payments before. Lots of them even had contactless cards and didn't even know it. I'd always ask before tapping anyone's card and they'd say, "Huh? Tap it?" and then I'd explain and show them the contactless symbol. They were all completely flabbergasted.

Also yeah I was always VERY aware the instant anyone wanted me to come to their table without the hand wave lmao. If I'm not already there then it means I have something higher-priority to do, and I'll be there when I can! Some people would literally wave their hand in front of my face as I walked past them carrying five bowls of ramen, like would you like me to spill this on you or not

I've never seen anyone tap their card. Just swipe, insert or using their phone.

Pee before you go is a must. I try hard to only make 1 trip to carry up groceries.

Watching Rachael Ray spend all that time precariously piling up everything from her refrigerator to do the big carry and almost dropping stuff as she walked like two feet to the island/counter made me realize that sometimes it’s better/safer/less stressful to make two trips.

One weekend it took me two hours to drive home (about 15 miles) and I had to pee SO BAD the entire time. That’s when I instituted the “always pee before you leave (even if you think your bladder is empty)” rule.

I have a foldable shopping cart that I pile up and if that becomes full I will put stuff in big reusable bags so I dont risk dropping anything. its just painful from the heaviness or hard to juggle pushing the cart and all the bags on my shoulder. for someone who lives in house it's no big deal to make a 2nd trip but it's such a pain in the ass to go again when you're up several flights.
