There are a bunch!

I've been seeing trailers for The Aftermath for 84 years (aka at least six months), so I feel like I have to see it at some point, too. Plus I love Keira.

i literally never heard of this movie until monday and i wnt to see it because of kiera knightley and that dress, but i don't want to see jason clarke's visage or anyone expressing romantic or sexual attraction to his form.

on sunday i watched Riki-Oh and Communion. Riki-Oh was wildly entertaining, and Communion was okay. It had moments of creepiness and Walken is fun to watch but I never would have cast him as Whitley Strieber lol.

I need to watch a spaghetti western this week, anyone have recs for one that's streaming? I have a few ideas. I tried to watch one last night (Keoma) and was not in a movie mood at all.

riki-oh: the story of ricky

hard man ricky is incarcerated in a futuristic prison where ultra-violence is his only means of survival in the corrupt, sadistic system. he must battle his way quite literally ‘through’ the feared ‘gang of four’, and undergo multiple tortures before facing the governor in one of the goriest climaxes ever seen.

oh my god you MUST watch it! It's SO over the top and insanely gory and just incredibly fun. it's pretty crazy right from the beginning and somehow gets even crazier. and probably the best use of a meat grinder in a movie lmao.

It's actually on YouTube (dubbed in english) that's where I watched it.

i'm watching it right now! i'm not a fan of dubs but this one isn't bad.

the scene in the yard where icantrememberhisname commits seppuku mid-battle, pulls out his own intestines and tries to strangle riki with them.

i keep forgetting that nancy drew movie is a thing because i haven't heard anything about it other than on ontd. i wish they'd do a period nancy drew movie/show and set it in the time the books were originally tbh

also that still from five feet apart is enough for me to already be annoyed at that movie lmfao

I saw Captain Marvel like most ppl but I’m prob not going to the theater again until Us is released next week.

Boy Free Solo and Shoplifters are now streaming on Hulu so I’m going to watch both of those this week. I’m super excited bc I could never get around to seeing them when they were in theaters.

Be prepared for shoplifters.
The end kinda hits you emotionally and you’re kinda like, why are the tears streaming down my face?

I hope Captive State is good. I’ve only found one review so far. I love a good surprise sci-fi movie like Upgrade last year.

same, i love upgrade! i watched it again yesterday while pining for a sequel that i know would be a bad idea. i just love smart, ultraviolent, hard r futuristic stories and want them to become a cottage industry so my hunger can be sated.
