on sunday i watched Riki-Oh and Communion. Riki-Oh was wildly entertaining, and Communion was okay. It had moments of creepiness and Walken is fun to watch but I never would have cast him as Whitley Strieber lol.

I need to watch a spaghetti western this week, anyone have recs for one that's streaming? I have a few ideas. I tried to watch one last night (Keoma) and was not in a movie mood at all.

riki-oh: the story of ricky

hard man ricky is incarcerated in a futuristic prison where ultra-violence is his only means of survival in the corrupt, sadistic system. he must battle his way quite literally ‘through’ the feared ‘gang of four’, and undergo multiple tortures before facing the governor in one of the goriest climaxes ever seen.

oh my god you MUST watch it! It's SO over the top and insanely gory and just incredibly fun. it's pretty crazy right from the beginning and somehow gets even crazier. and probably the best use of a meat grinder in a movie lmao.

It's actually on YouTube (dubbed in english) that's where I watched it.

i'm watching it right now! i'm not a fan of dubs but this one isn't bad.

the scene in the yard where icantrememberhisname commits seppuku mid-battle, pulls out his own intestines and tries to strangle riki with them.

omg, i loved this movie--except for the doggo dying--but overall it was a trip i'm glad i went along with.
