Same. I think I did like it (I need to watch it again to see if i truly like it) but the original unsettled me so much whereas this one didn't.

what was the scariest moment for you?

the most memorable thing about the original are the colorful sets, music and fashion, which would be great for a romcom but horrible for a horror movie.

nu-Suspiria was extremely different than the original so I'm not surprised Argento wasn't a fan. I liked it a lot even if I thought it would have been better if you cut ~30-40 minutes out of it.

i think he means the music isn't as integral; it's not a character like in the original, which i agree with.

luca guadagnino said he intentionally doesn't use music in expected ways because he feels it's emotionally manipulative towards the audience. he prefers to use music to punctuate a moment or to help translate the visual, which i hate because i love being emotionally manipulated by music, especially in film!

the original is BEAUTIFUL but that's literally all it has going for it. the reimagining was better imo.
