Dario Argento says 'Suspiria' remake betrayed the spirit of his film

Dario Argento (director of the original) took time to chat with Radio Rai 1’s Un Giorno da Pecora and said that it's a refined film, but wasn't really happy overall with it.

"It did not excite me, it betrayed the spirit of the original film: there is no fear, there is no music. The film has not satisfied me so much,” Argento says to the outlet.

The director went on to give Mariah esque shade compliment Luca Guadagnino and called him a "fine person".

Responses to the remake have been mixed, giving it credit for its boldness and taking the story in a new direction but ultimately dragging. Horror stans seem to not hate it at least.
