It's like the original Blair Witch of it's day. I've been to Hanging Rock when I was a kid and there's a whole display thing on it (I thought it was real at the time).
The original is so unsettling. It gave me nightmares. The book is even creepier. The description for the book version's missing chapter made me think of some of the scariest creepy pasta I've read lol
A miniseries remake seems so weird, though? Literally hew asked for this? Yay for Natalie, I guess.
I haven't read the book but I also looked up the missing chapter and it's weird and I kind of like it, but at the same time I'm glad it didn't make it onto the screen.
Yeah it would have looked kind of ridiculous on screen. You can't really translate something like that without it looking like Doctor Who or a bad attempt at David Lynch's style.
I really loved the film iirc. This looks quite arch and idk about Dormer, but i love anything sinister old timey girls school related (not a big enough genre imo)
saaaaame. give me girls with curls in coordinating outfits. girlhood is such a strange time. it should def be used more in unsettling stories like this one.
The original movie's atmosphere was beautiful and unique. Going by these stills alone this looks like it's not even going to come close. Also only Anne-Louise Lambert can be Miranda.
Just watched this trailer and ia. Part of what made the original so unsettling was the unique and eerie cinematography. This looks beautiful, but standard in comparison. I'm not sensing the atmosphere.
