It's like the original Blair Witch of it's day. I've been to Hanging Rock when I was a kid and there's a whole display thing on it (I thought it was real at the time).

LOL That's some A+ viral marketing. I got curious one day ans googled it. From what I remember the display/exhibit thing made it sound like it was all real. I guess it brings in tourists?

I think so. There's been some contention over it recently because it's so heavily focused on this fictional missing girl whereas the actual indigenous history is just an afterthought

I had no idea about the indigenous history of the area, when you go up there it's all about the missing girls etc which is a huge shame.
