The post of albums turning 10 inspired this post and the post title, I just lifted from 2006.

Tokio Hotel has a new album coming out. 10 years after the release of Zimmer 483 and their first English album Scream, they are now releasing "Dream Machine" and touring.

I always had the impression this band was never as big as they were perceived to be. At least in America.

Idk about America but I'm pretty sure they were huge in Europe, even before they did any music in English. Non-German-speaking ppl didn't understand much what they were singing about but it didn't really matter.

they were huge in germany. their popularity was compared to the jonas brothers craze here in america

their popularity in germany was really crazy. during 2005-2007 they were EVERYWHERE. kinda reminds me of kpop boybands tbh

I'm not gonna lie, I used to love them so much. I was 12/13 and like many teens, having my emo teen phase. I'm not sure if I ever even listened to all of their English music, though, I preferred the original songs. I do remember many of my friends suddenly wanting to study German, lol.

I hated this band as a teen because it was impossible to exist in Slovakia (and I assume the Czech Republic too) without meeting crazy TH fans who would fight you if you even breathe wrong during a conversation about them and drew incest pics of the twins. I don't care or mind them now obviously.

13 year old me was here for scream!!! My friend and I camped out when they had their fan signing in NYC !!

good times, I have dvds and various vrs on the cds.
They are the ones I have to give credit for my kpop love. In their forums someone had a Jaejoong icon and I followed them to omona and then ontd.
