is the book good? I just read the summary on wikipedia, it sounds interesting and potentially disappointing.

I have an unpopular opinion but I found it to be an absolute mess. Almost no cohesion, very blurry lines between literal and figurative (like, what is exactly HAPPENING in some of these scenes?? couldn't pay me). It wandered and almost totally lost any sense of concrete aim, who wants what, etc etc. I just, was done way, way before the book was.

Between this book as a source and the final season of Hannibal as imagined almost purely via dream logic by Bryan Fuller, I'm cynical as hell about this show. But I like Ricky and love Ian McShane so whatever, I'll be there. lol

I like her. At first I thought she was too young for this role to me, but the guy playing Shadow isn't much older than her. I think I just pictured the characters as older, or I always think of Emily as younger.

I've only seen her in two movies. I recognized her name and face but for the life of me could not remember which movies. And then I remembered how terrible sucker punch when I looked it up. Holy shit I had to look it up twice in the span of 5 minutes that's how badly I want to forget that movie.

Sleeping Beauty was also awful but for different reasons. Oh cool, a movie where girls "consent" to being raped by creepy old men.

yeah that sleeping beauty movie annoyed the fuck out of me and i only saw the trailer/read the premise. i don't like her film choices.

the only film i can think of hers that wasn't totally unbearable and she was charming in is 'god help the girl'.

but still a mess of a film. i can't make up my mind on her acting yet because all her roles have been usually drab.

i expected someone older for some reason, but this is a good casting. i'm so excited this show is finally happening, american gods is one of my favourite books
