Hello, OGYD!

I'm posting to let any parties interested in Ancient Gackt History know that I've been translating the 2004 book The Air Moon ~Hakuchu no Tsuki~. In this book, music writer Mitsuru HIROSE documents the early stages of the MOON PROJECT, from MOON to Crescent and everything in between. Along the way, HIROSE has several interviews of ( Read more... )

I have been reading your translations since the beginning and enjoyed greatly your fluent text. Sidenotes have been most enlightening and amusing. And not just this book, your choises of translations, like that pamphlet and radio show, have been most pleasant and interesting.

Always eagerly waiting for more! ^_^b

Yes, and it certainly was nice to know someone was reading them from the start! Thank you!

Yeah, I wanted to do something really big and long-term to test myself. It's been a great chance to develop my skills and revisit the early days of Gackt.

Now is the perfect time to revisit the early works of MOON. The play is going full speed ahead and the LAST VISUALIVE -- which will conclude MOON SAGA -- is planned to go on next summer. Thanks for translating this. Thank you very much.

Yes, exactly! The author (Hirose) makes a similar comment about reading an interview from two years past, how it was interesting for him to read it again once he actually knew what all the hints Gackt had been dropping referred to. Taking a look back from 12 years later and seeing that Gackt is still working on MOON SAGA-but at the same time it doesn't feel like so much time has passed-it's an interesting ride. ^o^

I was just reading an article about the play that said that GACKT has been working on the story of MOON for 15 years. At first I thought that was impossible, but then I remembered what year ANOTHER WORLD was released. I know the dates but it really doesn't seem like that much time has passed!

But we're finally getting an ending...? Goodness, I'm worried about when it will be though. He says summer, but MOON SAGA Chapter 2 is telling me he has a different idea of when summer is. I need to be able to see the VISUALIVE. I hope it starts sooner than later, ending in July... rather than beginning in or after August and running into 2016 (because sorry G, but that's autumn through winter).

Thanks again!

I'm on pins and needles about the VISUALIVE dates too. My freelance work I can thankfully do from anywhere, but I'm starting grad school and might not be able to get away at any time other than June-July. Plus, if there are dates in late May-early June I could probably time it so that in two weeks I can see both GACKT and the festival of the school I used to work at. Once the last set of kids I taught graduates in March 2016, I won't really have much reason to visit the school in particular.

Fingers crossed for a summer VISUALIVE!
