I know, i don't come 'round these parts much anymore, so instead of complaing i'm going to talk about my current obsession: dressing like a 1960s flight attendant. Lived through my first CA quake the other night--tiny. By the time I realized the apartment was shaking it was over. Nothing moved, fell or was otherwise bothered. The rabbits freaked out for a few seconds, but that's it, then it was over ( Read more... )

So after seeing those episodes of Tony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmer try the Durian, I felt I HAD to buy a little bag of the freeze dried stuff when I saw it in the Asian market. Not nearly as bad as I imagined, but again, it was freeze dried. More at the blog.
