I like this story so much and this chapter was so emphatetically again. Love your Xander and this thoughtful Spike. And of course your Dawn. Thank you so much for sharing this update. Let your muse decide if you want to write more of this story. This is a decision you and your muse are the only ones who can make it.
I really like the way you've portrayed Xander being so fragile and so strong at the same time, and Dawn finally realising it and acknowledging her understanding was really well done.
I also like the pace you're rolling this out. We know it's coming eventually (especially given the title of the story) but the fragile state of the characters means that it feels right that progress should be made in very small steps.
Well I love readings stories that have the boys slowly growing used to each other. I like stories that have them as a couple already but sometimes it feels like there's something missing in ones like that, you don't know how they got there, just that they're there already, y'know?
Anyway, I'm really glad you like the fact I'm taking my time about it all =]
This was a really nice chapter. Poor Xander should know that getting thanks from teenagers is a hard task, and it doesn't mean Dawn doesn't value him. And I especially like the last sentence--glad Spike's found home, too.
=] You have the demi-god that is my beta to thank for that line. I spent ages trying to come up with something that fit, I send it off for beta'ing and presto; brilliance. lol.
I'm really glad you like it, says a lot because I've read some of your work and you're amazing.

As an author, if you honestly feel this story has reached it's conclusion so be it. After all, the end of one story is the beginning of another.
