I just found out about an hour ago that my new band, The Starry Saints, will be opening for The Killers tomorrow night at Memorial Coliseum. This will be the biggest stage and venue I have ever played! Amazing.

I had a great evening tonight. I had my first rehearsal with my new band, Starry Saints. So far it is Allen Davis and Clint Sargent guitars, and myself on bass. Drum machine drummer for now. We ran through three songs until they were tight. Great sound.
Finally, something good happens.

Happy Birthday, jadis000! I hope the next quarter of a century is full of happiness for you!

Back home. Loooooooong drive to get home. Going to work tomorrow. I don't know why. Boss won't even be there, but it is the last day of the pay period and I can use all the hours I can get ( Read more... )

My boss is still a prick. He did not say one single word to me all day, except to mutter, "Oh, OK," when I told him markers for the flip chart were coming. No apology. Nothing. Fuck it. Today I took a coworker around Vancouver to some of my favorite spots: The Aquarium in Stanley Park, Granville Island, and Van Dusen Botanical Garden. Good Times.
