Watching traceroutes time out is awesome. Thank you, Time-Warner-neé-Comcast!

Other than that, things are getting better:
  • My cold's progressed from killer sore throat to chew toys (phlegm) and I've managed to stay awake all morning, so it looks like I'll be camping this weekend. Mom sent a few camping goodies from Campmor -- swank air mattresses, ( Read more... )

I'm voting for the Kinkster anyway!

As soon as I get ahold of one my local county chairs (I live near a county line), I'm arranging to pick up Kinky signs to post at three early voting locations within 2 miles of us.

not to mention, loving your icon! :D

it's been said that anyone willing to have a career as a politician shouldn't be allowed. kinky is like a real person! and me likes real peeps.

killi and scott are really big into the political scene, since most of the posts impact a lot on scott's work. and even SCOTT likes kinky.

What are you selling on Etsy? I love that place!

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

I'm not selling anything on Etsy yet! This was just a one-shot commission to make some quick plush items for someone's Halloween costume; a friend of mine referred them to me because it was more cost-effective for me to sew them than for my friend to crochet them.

Oh, by the way, I keep intending to meniton, the old todcra.org hosting finally died, so it'd probably be good to change it over to the 1&1 account! However you do that! I don't even know! I like pie!

I just need to know the nameserver information (like the old hosting was "ns1.oldhost.foo") to make that change with my domain name registrar and it'll propagate in 48 hours.

I like pie too! Hot apple pie!

Hm, it looks like they want you to go through and do it through their control panel thingy with the login and whatnot. (I gave you that stuff, right?) It looks like you have to go to the domain table toolbar, click new, then check domain, then "Point DNS to 1&1, and then I think they'll give you that info. It's kinda silly. I've all got it in this weird booklet they sent me, but it doesn't actually have any real info in it, just how to do stuff. It'd probably be nice if they just gave us the name server and whatnot. Boo to that!

I've got the customer number from the initial order e-mail you forwarded to me, but I don't remember the password, although it could be that I just type like a gimp on Laurel's keyboard [1]. I'll be around later in the day if you want to drop me a reminder e-mail or call me on the phone at laugh at my foolishness.

1. I get a lot of mis-strikes in general because the keyboard has a more compact layout than what I expect from a standard 104-key layout. The whole Insert/Delete block is shifted downward against the arrow keys in a 3x3 block with the Print Screen/Scroll Lock row at the top so the kayboard could have some Power/Sleep/Wake keys where Print Screen, et al SHOULD go. Drives me bats.
