this reminded me of when I was 16, and I introduced the first guy i dated to one of my best female friends then, and he decided to date her, and make her his girlfriend after a month of knowing here, when he knew me almost a year, and just "dated" me. I feel exactly how you feel about friends dating an ex, and they both knew how I felt the situation and in simpler terms, fucked over my feelings and just went along happily.
I've managed to remain civil with the ex, but with my once close girlfriend, see lied to me about things the ex actually had the balls to tell me, so I haven't spoken to her in over 2 years. As civil as I may be with the ex, I can't say that I trust him, because I honestly don't.

completely, I think he kinda needs to grow up, and quit analyzing you so much, and take it as it is, an apology.
