Well, now that I've gotten an honest explanation (and apology) out of him, and the rage is (mostly) quelled, making room again for all the heartache, what feels the worst is not being wanted by someone I wanted so, so badly

sometimes, hell even most times, it sucks to be a grown up.

but i still believe you are right...this will be more satisfying. some people never get that chance.
