Camera Workout

Mar 13, 2010 14:43

Finally I have had some free time to get out and play with my new camera...my Nikon D5000. It will take a little bit of getting used to, but so far, so good. The rain stopped long enough to be able to take a short walk around the Botanical gardens at Mount Coot-tha.

Lovely shots! Such clarity. If this is playing around with the camera, when you're in a serious relationship with it, there's no telling what works of art will be created! :)

HUGS!

Thanks...I have a long way to go to before I will be totally comfortable with the camera, but I am learning. I'm looking forward to a happy and long relationship!

Hugs!

Beautiful pictures. I'm looking forward to our spring which is just around the corner. I have never liked taking fall and winter shots with all the dull browns and snow whites. I love the colors you are able to capture. No camera I have ever had seem to be able to get the vibrant colors like you have in your pictures.

I suppose I like all the seasons and autumn can be SO colourful. We don't get snow for me to have to worry about those shots! But you are right, Spring is a wonderful time of year and I hope you get to turn that corner very soon. Can we expect some pictures?

Things here are finally starting to green up which helps me get out of my winter funk . I do try to take pictures in fall but once the leaves drop I can't seem to see past all the browns which I just can't see as pretty no matter how hard I try with the camera. I am going to try to take more pictures than I have been now that things Are starting to poke out of the ground.

Yes, so far I am very happy. I'm no great photographer really, but I enjoy it and hope to be able to produce some results I can be proud of.
