I can't tell which is more eye-opening: that blood collection agencies still ask whether you've had male homosexual contact (rather than, say, any unprotected sexual contact) as a way to decide who can't give blood, or the fact that McGill has a William Shatner Centre.

I am in, like, total freak out mode. I have done a lot this weekend, but it's not nearly enough! I have so much to do, still! I made a list of things I need to do this weekend-- there were 13 items on it and I've done four. I had to make a speech today in my political science class. It was part of a ridiculous ongoing group project which we were supposed to finish last week, but the professor is so awful and disorganized that he keeps adding silly little things to the original assignment. This afternoon, my friends in class were full of squee for Studio 60, a sentiment I haven't really seen repeated here on LJ.

Once again I marvelled at how there are normal viewers, and then there is Us. Sometimes I just need to be reminded.

In the past year I learned that I am not welcome, never fit in, and will always be a loser. I don't even want to bother trying making friends anymore. It just doesn't work.

My mommy sent me flowers for my birthday. She is nice. Thank you mommy.

Summer is over now, and I am back at school. I have a lot of reading to do, which I have not done. I was trying to get a head start on everything and come back all motivated and eager, but it didn't happen. At least I do not feel dreadfully out of the loop.

In other news, meal hall is amazing. But this is a shock to everyone, not just me.

So it's all over now, my year in Europe; I've been packing my room for two days. The trouble is that when I move in, I move in, with tons of stuff strewn about and papers tucked in the bookshelves and so many plastic bags ( Read more... )

My mother informs me that my LJ has recently been extraordinarily boring, so now I will say that in an hour and a half I leave to go to Rome! Afterward, I will go back to Freiburg, where all of my friends there will still be in school. I've just discovered that game four of the Dallas Mavericks at Phoenix Suns West Coast Conference Final is on channel five this morning at two. If only I knew somebody who didn't mind me watching their TV at two in the morning.
