Anxiety concertina

I love the anxiety concertina. I get this problem too... I decide to do something but then there's other things that have to be done first, and those things are dependent on other things, and it all sort of goes around in my head til I can't work out where to start and give up! Breaking it down into discrete things sounds like a good idea.

Excellent! Good luck with your doings. Starting is the hardest for me. I'm getting better at it. More able to set SMART* goals, and separate all the steps out I need to do. Knowing that I'm able to ask for help for any one of those steps/goals and that I can stop at any time and have breaks etc. is really useful.

*SMART goals:
Specific
Measureable
Achieviable/Appropriate
Realistic
Timed

I suffer from this problem too - now I have a name for it. I find 'To Do' list, with not just a whole task but also different stages of the task that I can do a step at a time, useful. Mind you, brain still rebels sometimes!
