Confession time.....

Jan 30, 2009 22:45

I have some confessions to make...mostly because the parts inside of me that have learned their lessons know that it is time. But trust me there is some part of me that still hasn't learned its lesson (case in point I spent the last 30 minutes crying without trying to reach out and wanting to just go to sleep crying telling myself that it wouldn't ( Read more... )

Going to classes = self-improvement (at least if you're trying and not failing everything) = you have done a lot over the last year

You do a lot, Kathleen, you just don't give yourself enough credit for what you do. If you still don't feel you've done enough, try not to linger on the past year, but instead try to change things in this one that will change the way you feel about yourself at your next birthday. You know going to class is contributing to your future, so that's probably something you can't/shouldn't change. Remember you have to take time to take care of yourself too. I know the not-eating issue runs deeper than this, but it might help for you to make an agreement with yourself - promise yourself that you will eat today, but you will eat healthy things. Don't tell yourself what you won't eat, instead tell yourself what you will eat - "I will eat a salad for lunch today" instead of "I will not eat french fries for lunch today". *hugs*

You don't have to have a party if you don't want to, but we're still going to wish you a happy birthday, because you deserve one even if you don't believe you do.

I'm not having a party either, and I have class the night of my birthday and work at 830am the next morning, BUT. I think we should definitely go out for dinner/drinks/something that weekend, Friday or Saturday? I will not let you mope!!! :P Besides, we've celebrated our birthdays together (to some degree) for over a decade, it would be a shame to break that tradition now.

And also, think of all the things you've learned this year. School and otherwise. You've done a lot, you're just not looking at that, you're looking at the negative.
