I'll trade you your wind for my humidity! It's down to 62% today!

Yeah... that's why I'm so disgruntled about the so-called "fall" schedule. Hmph!

Eeeeeyuck. My sister in law and her husband just moved to Dallas...I'm not relishing the idea of their weather.
I'm enjoying my PNW temperate climate. It's finally cooled down from high 80s low 90s to the 60s and 70s, with rain and clouds in the morning, sun in the afternoon. It looks like fall is coming!

Whew, that must be a shock for them! It's SO different from the PNW. I'll be honest, I still prefer North Texas, but your weather right now sounds AMAZING. Enjoy it! :)

Humidity is not an amazing thing it's a horrid horrid ickyelting thing. I'll take my triple digits but you have to keep the humidity!

"Amazing" as in "it's crazy the difference it makes either way." Your triple digits result in NEGATIVE heat index. I've never seen that before in my LIFE - actually I didn't know that was even possible until very recently!

It's interesting, actually. DFW is very in between on the humidity. People from a dry climate find it yucky, and people from a wet climate find it dry. Functionally, it means that it's dry enough for temperatures to be extreme in both seasons, and it's wet enough that those extreme temperatures feel worse. Triple digits (yes, it hit 101 today) feel hotter, and cold temperatures are wet and bone-chilling.

Dallas is definitely windy. One definitely becomes accustomed to weighting things down at picnics. It's better than Houston weather, but one takes what one gets.

Haha, no kidding! I got some ice cream with some friends this evening, and it was silly how quick the wind was at snatching away papers and napkins. I vastly prefer it to Houston weather. Even when the wind's so strong that it rattles the screens on my windows enough to wake me at 3 AM. ;)

But you sounds like you speak from experience. Have you lived in Texas?

Grew up in Dallas, went to school in Austin, married in Houston, and soon to be living in Houston.

Wow, how neat! I was born in Arlington, school in College Station (yes...) and live in Fort Worth now. My brother and sister-in-law live in Rosenberg.
