I had to walk to the shop and back today (half-hour each way). Temperature was upper 80s/low 90s. Going there, the walk wasn't bad at all after some dry days; but there was one little rain shower on the way back, followed by sun, and at that point I was turning into a puddle. The Florida climate is not fit for human habitation. :Þ

I actually like moderate humidity. Dry drives me crazy! Coming home from college in Atlanta to cracked bleeding skin was never fun. And humidity often comes with cool breezes, even if it's hot, unlike our opening the oven blasts of wind.
Really though, it's the sun here that gets you. It always feels about 50 degrees hotter than it is when it hits your skin. Yuck.

Yes, super dry is really hard on skin. The only thing it's good for is hair that's prone to be frizzy. And especially if you got used to Atlanta! I looked that one up for my "wet" comparison, but they're actually having thunderstorms right now so it wasn't apples to apples.
Yeah, the radiant heat from the sun is really unpleasant. Humidity feels smothering, like being in a warm, sticky blanket; but it's still nothing like the real pain of that sun. I went swimming a week ago; we were with my baby niece, so mostly just talking and keeping an eye on her. Bobbing around, not really swimming. When I chanced to touch my head, my hair was painfully hot to the touch. Ow!
