Kinder than I would have been. I'd have reported that first guy and demanded a refund, seriously.

I would have too, but his auction was "no refunds." So rather than dance around with the emails, begging and pleading, I just went straight for the jugular.

Yeah, but the site policy is that if you don't offer refunds, you need to describe the item accurately, which this jackass obviously didn't, so he'd likely have earned himself a violation of the TOS. This is one of the times I'd be taking advantage of the fact that eBay's judgements are almost always weighted in the buyer's favor, because what an ass!
