Savannah entered the Great Hall and immediately scanned the Gryffindor table for Barrett.

Since Valentine's Day, she'd gotten quite used to spending time with him and she found herself looking for him every time she had a free moment.

Not finding her large... friend, she went to her own table, took a seat and began to pull food onto her plate.

Friend. Odd word. With the amount of time and snogging that she and Barrett did, he felt like more than just a simple friend. He felt like her boyfriend but they'd not made anything official.

You know, not that Savannah was in a rush. She was happy just being around Barrett. He was quite sweet to her and she always felt rather princess-ish when they were together.

Maybe they didn't need an official title. Maybe they were just Barrett and Savannah.

Bryant was actually awake before noon for some strange reason. Oh, right, because he was trying that whole going to class thing. Odd, but Tris has looked at him just that way when she'd suggested it and he'd found himself unable to really argue with her over it.

Yes, Bryant Sawyer was completely Tris-whipped. What of it?

He grinned when he saw Savannah sitting at their house table as he entered the Great Hall and there may have been a little happy humming as he slid into the seat across from her and started pulling food onto his plate.

"Morning!" he greeted cheerily.

Savannah wasn't in a bad mood but she wasn't exactly in the mood for a Tris-whipped Bryant Sawyer.

It was disgusting... him being happy like this. Well, it was only disgusting because the evil Tris girl was likely the cause of it. He only seemed to be happy because of her lately. Just... ewwww. She didn't even want to imagine why.

"Morning," she greeted, casting another quick glance at the Gryffindor table. Wouldn't it have been brilliant to have a reason to be happy right now? A large one. A chocolate one. A Gryffindor one. Deep internal sigh.

"Why are you so happy?" she questioned, keeping most of her attention on the plate in front of her.

Bryant would have been just as disturbed to know that Savannah was thinking about chocolate Gryffindors, so it was just as well that he couldn't read her thoughts. Yes, he was allowed to be happy with someone else, but she wasn't. Yes, he was a complete hypocrite. That was Bryant for you.

He was blissfully unaware of her thoughts, though, so he merely grinned as he took a sip of his tea. "Oh, I don't know. It's just a good day so far. It's been a nice week," he answered.

Thursday, March 16th, Lunch. Gryffindor table. perrie February 4 2007, 14:10:52 UTC
The birthday plans were out again, even more scribbles, scratches and unidentifiable substances spilt over them. Really, Remy should get more parchment and start again, but the boy never thought of things like that.

Half a sandwich hovered in his hand as he scrawled something about banners and cheering charms in massive letters over one dishevelled bit of paper, and was then eaten in one gulp. He was a hungry, growing boy, after all!

Lunch was always a good time of day to wake up. Zak grinned lazily at his friend and made a point of messing up Remys hair as he sat down next to him. "Still planning away?" He chuckled spotting the ink covered parchment. "Mate, you're going to be so locked that you won't give a shite about the bleedin' decorations." Zak had finally started to act as normal around Remy again. He truly believed Danny and Remy were broken up, and sure, why would he think otherwise? But he wasn't fool enough to dive straight back in there. They were strictly friends, no more feeking buddy shite. Those days were well and truly done from where Zak stood on the matter. It never dawned on him that this decision of his might actually be benefitting Remy a lot more than he could ever imagine.

Zak started to fill his plate. Hogwarts food. Where would he be without it?

"Ah, see, but other people won't be so wasted, and then they can still come away saying how astounding the decorations were." Remy grinned, dropping his quill to stretch backwards in his chair and click out the uncomfortable tension in his back. "I was thinking of going on a venue-hunting expedition sometime on Saturday if you wanted to come with?"

He made a face at his roommate as he readdressed his hair, dragging long fingers through it to push it back into the slightly longish style he preferred - it had been growing out for a little while now, and Remy thought it made him look rather dashing, really.

Distracted from his work, he reached for another sandwich and poured a fresh goblet of water from the jug nearby. Now he wasn't thinking about work, he'd suddenly realised exactly how hungry he really was.

Zak shrugged, "Their loss. A gold balloon can just make the night when you've had that little bit too much." He bit into his sandwich very happily and chewed away. Nodding at the suggestion of venue hunting, Zak quickly washed down his mouthful of bread, chicken, lettuce and tomato with water. "Sounds like something to do. What're you hoping to find?"

He'd been in the school for 7 years. Zak was set in the belief that he basically knew the place inside and out. The fact that he was continually LOST between classes meant absolutely nothing. He just had a bad sense of direction, that was all. The Gryffindor watched bemused as Remy fixed his hair. "How long're you growing it?" Asked Zak before taking another bite of his sandwich.

Hannah walked into the Great Hall and made a beeline for the Ravenclaw Table. She'd been up for a few hours now, unable to really sleep the night before. After a brisk walk and a stroll around the castle, she felt her stomach rumble and decided it was time for breakfast.

Yep, she was the first one there, so she grabbed some toast and eggs and sat down for a nice breakfast

Blimey, it was early. Derek rubbed at his eyes and muttered a few choice curses all the way to the Great Hall about this string of early mornings he'd been having. He had quite enough going on as it was without sleep deprivation being added to the mix. Yes, he was upset at not being told what had happened and having to try to piece it together himself (which he was going to do, so help him). Yes, he was still feeling protective. Apparently stress wasn't conductive to rest.

On the bright side, looking after Hannah had kicked his family problems straight to the back of Derek's mind.

He knew Hannah was going to get sick of his sticking close to her soon. For now, Derek didn't much care. He needed to be there and know that she was alright. Maybe if someone was honest and gave him a good reason why he should feel secure after everything that had happened, he'd consider listening. Still, he was trying not to be obtrusive.

Derek slipped in next to Hannah with a vague smile and reached for the tea. "Morning," he mumbled.

Hannah glanced over to see a very sleepy Derek sitting next to her. Holding back a smile, she nodded to him. "My, you're up early this morning." She was actually happy to have him dote on her like he was. It hadn't gotten old quite yet.

She took a few bites of her eggs and a swig of apple juice before continuing to talk. "Seriously though... have you been sleeping at all? You look really tired." Hannah herself looked quite tired as well. It had been a very taxing week it seemed. Well of course it was.

An owl landed on their table and handed Hannah a letter before stealing her toast and flying off. It was an owl from her mum, but not a Howler thank Merlin. She quieted down a bit as she read it. Everyone else was getting their mail too. Good old Saturday mornings.

"Sleep? What?" Derek blew on his tea distractedly before answering. "Yes, I have. Sort of," he admitted. "And don't give me that look." Derek pretended to glare but lost the fight not to smile, taking a sip of his cup of caffeine to cover it instead. He'd sleep better when she did, though he wasn't going to say that lest Hannah take it the wrong way and decide not to come over. Hopefully she'd sleep better after he got that potion from Russiani today.

A few owls started making their way through and Derek pulled a letter from his mum from where it was dropped near the eggs (which, incidentally, he'd been about to reach for anyway). He'd been talking keeping up more with his parents lately given...things. Being up this early really required some sort of fuel so Derek heaped a spoonful of eggs and a few strips of bacon onto his plate before opening the letter with one hand as he ate. Multitasking? Yep, Ravenclaws can do that.

Friday March 17th - Breakfast (Early Morning) - Ravenclaw Table bookwormbri February 7 2007, 10:15:31 UTC
Bri was seated at the Ravenclaw Table well before the time she'd agreed to meet Hannah, but it wasn't unusual at all for her to be up so early. Tim teased her about it all the time, especially over the winter holidays when she'd still been up with the sun, while he continued to stay late.

Today she had a reason, though! She and Hannah were having an early breakfast, because Bri had taken notes for her while she was in the Hospital Wing and they'd planned this so Hannah could copy them. She'd been careful to take extra detailed ones, too, even if she couldn't make much sense of her notes for Charms or Transfiguration. She was sure Hannah would have more luck with them.

She checked her bag to make sure she had all the notes she needed with her (which she did, of course, having checked three times before leaving the dorms) and then helped herself to some tea before spreading some jam over her toast.

Hannah yawned as she walked into the Great Hall. Last night had been mostly nightmares and tossing and turning. She'd snuck into the boys' dorm and slept next to Derek, hoping that it would help. It didn't.

Either way, now she was here and ready to meet with Bri. Maybe not bright and cheery, but her eyes were open. With a yawn, she plopped down across from her friend. "Mornin'," she said sleepily as she helped herself to some eggs and toast.

Bri eyed Hannah worriedly, because she looked awfully tired. She'd expect it of most people, but she knew Hannah was usually up as early as she was. It was one of the things the two had in common.

It shouldn't surprise her, she guessed, after everything that had just happened, and she tilted her head to the side as she studied the girl for a moment. "Didn't get much sleep?"

Wednesday - March 14th - Lunch - Puff Table thejokingtwin February 8 2007, 19:55:35 UTC
Taylor was deep in concentration. Sure, there had been other master pieces. Of course he had managed to put together a million different types of food into a million different combinations and smush them all between two different pieces of bread. But this... this was different... this was perhaps his best idea yet. He was slapping on mashed-potatoes and peanut butter together on his plate and currently molding it with his knife and index finger. He was going to make a mountain... and the mashed potatoes could be the snow... and there was some broccoli over there that he could use to represent the forest growth on the one side.

He was getting incredibly excited all of a sudden about this.

"Taylor? Only brother of mine? You know I support you and all of that bullocks, but tell me you're not eating that when you're done," Darin insisted, sinking into a seat across from his twin and staring in fascination at the mess taking shape on the plate. "Is that..." No, he was at a loss. "What is that?"

Taylor leaned back into his chair and gave his masterpiece a satisfied grin, "You know... you're really not as courageous as I thought you were if you can't even stare one of my works in the face and not squirm. Pansy," Taylor said with a smirk.

"This is my Mountain Mudslide," Taylor said, enjoying the name he had just made up, "Now watch as I demonstrate the proper way to eat the Mountain Mudslide." He picked up his fork, grabbed a huge forkful of the potato/peanut butter mix and stab a broccoli tree for good measure. "Cheers!" he said happily and shoved the whole thing into his mouth. And wouldn't you know it, it tasted fantastic. "Mmm... you've really got to try this." He offered another forkful over to his brother.

"I'm watching to make sure it doesn't explode on you," Darin said practically. One of these days Taylor was going to mix the wrong two things and discover a new kind of poison or something.

Somehow Darin couldn't quite take his eyes off the disaster in progress. It wasn't a bad sculpture as these things went- not until you remembered it was food. Although, he would grant that Taylor had food sculpting down to a science. "You know what mum would say if she could see this?" he added.

When offered a bite, Darin accepted the fork without question. He was curious, after all, and after years of experiments, he wasn't as easily scared off as all of that. "You know," he considered as he chewed, "no, that's still disgusting." Darin handed the fork back and reached out to pat Taylor on the shoulder. "Nice try though."
