Savannah entered the Great Hall and immediately scanned the Gryffindor table for Barrett.
Since Valentine's Day, she'd gotten quite used to spending time with him and she found herself looking for him every time she had a free moment.
Not finding her large... friend, she went to her own table, took a seat and began to pull food onto her plate.
Friend. Odd word. With the amount of time and snogging that she and Barrett did, he felt like more than just a simple friend. He felt like her boyfriend but they'd not made anything official.
You know, not that Savannah was in a rush. She was happy just being around Barrett. He was quite sweet to her and she always felt rather princess-ish when they were together.
Maybe they didn't need an official title. Maybe they were just Barrett and Savannah.

Bryant was actually awake before noon for some strange reason. Oh, right, because he was trying that whole going to class thing. Odd, but Tris has looked at him just that way when she'd suggested it and he'd found himself unable to really argue with her over it.
Yes, Bryant Sawyer was completely Tris-whipped. What of it?
He grinned when he saw Savannah sitting at their house table as he entered the Great Hall and there may have been a little happy humming as he slid into the seat across from her and started pulling food onto his plate.
Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablequeenvannahFebruary 6 2007, 21:36:07 UTC
Savannah wasn't in a bad mood but she wasn't exactly in the mood for a Tris-whipped Bryant Sawyer.
It was disgusting... him being happy like this. Well, it was only disgusting because the evil Tris girl was likely the cause of it. He only seemed to be happy because of her lately. Just... ewwww. She didn't even want to imagine why.
"Morning," she greeted, casting another quick glance at the Gryffindor table. Wouldn't it have been brilliant to have a reason to be happy right now? A large one. A chocolate one. A Gryffindor one. Deep internal sigh.
"Why are you so happy?" she questioned, keeping most of her attention on the plate in front of her.
Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablebryantsawyerFebruary 7 2007, 21:54:29 UTC
Bryant would have been just as disturbed to know that Savannah was thinking about chocolate Gryffindors, so it was just as well that he couldn't read her thoughts. Yes, he was allowed to be happy with someone else, but she wasn't. Yes, he was a complete hypocrite. That was Bryant for you.
He was blissfully unaware of her thoughts, though, so he merely grinned as he took a sip of his tea. "Oh, I don't know. It's just a good day so far. It's been a nice week," he answered.
Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablequeenvannahFebruary 8 2007, 03:07:16 UTC
Oh, Savannah was allowed to be happy with someone else... and she was doing it every chance that she got. She and Barrett were seeing each other at least once a day and her mood was greatly improved because of it.
Unfortunately, Savannah hadn't actually seen Barrett yet this morning so she was her normal sour self when Bryant declared this a good day... and a good week. Whatever.
If he was so happy with his girlfriend maybe he should marry her and have loads and loads of babies. Wasn't like he cared about her any more. Wasn't like he'd care about her ever again. She could fall over dead right here and he'd likely keep drinking his damn tea and thinking about how wonderful his snobby little girlfriend was.
"Yeah. A great day," she agreed, managing to hide her sarcasm fairly well.
Bite of eggs. Drink of juice.
"What has made it such a great week?" she questioned after a moment.
Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablebryantsawyerFebruary 9 2007, 06:56:54 UTC
Bryant had to think about that. There wasn't any one thing that had made his week great. He was just in a good mood. Of course, Tris was a big part of that, but he was also finding that this going to class thing wasn't quite so bad. In fact, it was kind of okay.
"Nothing specific," he told her honestly, though he was still grinning as he crammed a piece of toast into his mouth. "It's just a good one. Don't you think?"
Of course, he was oblivious to her inner thoughts about him. Bry was pretty thick that way.
"What have you been up to lately, anyway?" he asked. "I haven't seen you much."
Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablequeenvannahFebruary 12 2007, 02:12:00 UTC
Savannah just looked at him. Was this a good week? Were there good weeks at Hogwarts? Until about a month ago, she spent 90% of her time in class or alone. She hated this place... and he knew it. Prat.
"Yes. It's a brilliant week."
Well, that wasn't entirely a lie. She had got a kiss or two from Barrett this week. That was always pleasant... it was nice to not be alone.
Like anyone could read Savannah. She kept her feelings bottled up tight... you know, unless she was pissed and then she showed her real emotions

Bryant nodded. "Well, I'm glad you're having a good week," he offered with a grin. Of course, he was still oblivious to her true mood, but Bryant was sometimes dumb like that.
He frowned at the comment about being being.. and her question. "I have.. well, maybe not specifically.. but.. I do notice when you're not around, you know."
He might have a girlfriend now, but that didn't meant he didn't miss one of his oldest friends.
Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablequeenvannahFebruary 14 2007, 00:08:24 UTC
((That comment up there? Needs an edit! Mainly because Savannah hated Tris - or any girl that showed him interest for that matter.Savannah simply nodded a nod and continued to eat. She knew that he hadn't looked for her. Honestly, she seriously doubted that he'd even thought about her. He, likely, had forgotten that she even existed until he walked into the Great Hall to find her sitting at the Hufflepuff table

Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablebryantsawyerFebruary 14 2007, 09:32:33 UTC
Out of mind was right! Savannah was insane if she thought that Bryant didn't think about her at all. She was one of his oldest friends and him dating Tris (or even being in love with her) didn't change that. He adores Savannah (when she wasn't acting completely mad) and he liked spending time with her most of the time. He missed her when he didn't see her much for awhile, too.
Really, he didn't mean to neglect their friendship in spending so much time with Tris and he didn't even notice if he was doing that. Sure, he was spending most spare moments he could manage with the girl and he was even going to class for her, but that didn't mean he meant to neglect Savannah in the process.
"I don't want to put you out," he told her, frowning, because he couldn't tell if she meant that sincerely or was just.. being her. "But it would be nice to see you more often. I miss you."
Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablequeenvannahFebruary 17 2007, 06:41:50 UTC
Bryant often thought that Savannah was out of her mind. It was obvious that she, sometimes, was but she'd never agree with it. Honestly, the insinuation pissed her off beyond belief.
She, really, didn't believe that Bry thought about her. She, certainly, didn't believe that he ever missed her. She, also, blamed all of this on the Tris girl. The girl was, single handedly, destroying her friendship... not just any friendship... her only friendship. Well, her only friendship until Barrett. Sometimes, she didn't know what she'd do without her Gryffindor.. friend. That was a lie... she knew... she'd be alone... like she'd been for months before they'd gone on that first date.
Whether he meant to or not, he was neglecting Savannah. Of course, he always had in some form or another. Just another reason for her to invest so much of herself in Barrett... he wanted to spend time with her... he actually cared about her

She might not have meant it in a bad way, but he certainly took it as such. Maybe he was just feeling a bit defensive or something, but he couldn't help wondering why she couldn't come find him just as easily.
"You could come find me just as easily, you know," he replied. Really how was he expected to think that she cared about him at all, anyway? It wasn't like she ever went out of her way to track him down.
Bryant was a predictable sort, too. He was never difficult to find, because there weren't a whole lot of difference places he ever went.
You know, aside from actually going to class these days.
Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablequeenvannahFebruary 20 2007, 04:04:38 UTC
Of course he took it in a bad way. He was Bryant Sawyer and she had a point. It was impossible for him to, simply, admit that she was right. She should have known that he would behave in such a fashion

"Right."
Bryant didn't think he could ever be too busy for a friend, so he didn't get that at all. Besides, if she didn't tell him he was there, how was he suppoed to know?
"You've been busy a lot yourself, lately," he replied calmly. It was true. He'd heard all about her and that big Gryffindor. More power to her if she was ahppy with him, he figured. But that didn't mean he liked not seeing very much of her.
Or that he was going to take all the responsibility for them never seeing each other. No, this was just as much her fault.
Re: Friday, March 17, 2006 - breakfast - Hufflepuff tablequeenvannahFebruary 27 2007, 03:54:13 UTC
Right. It was true.
The one (maybe two but probably just the one) time that she'd gone to find him, Bryant had been busy with that other Hufflepuff girl and she didn't feel like being some third wheel or watching how he gave that girl the lovey dovey eyes that he'd never had for her. That was just... painful annoying.
"I've not been all that busy," she returned. "Besides, when it comes down to it, I'm never too busy for you."
Sure, she'd been spending a lot of time with Barrett but had anyone else acted as if they wanted to be around her? No. What should she do, sit alone and pine for someone that didn't even care? Of course not!
In her opinion, this was all his fault. Didn't he know that she'd do anything he asked of her? She was willing to bet that she missed him a lot more than he missed her.
